Spirit Spoke,
I Listened...
I Am Aliaithusa.
The Remembering and Rebirthing
For those who have known me as Shayleen or Shay, you may continue to call me by that name if it feels natural. However, I prefer to be called by my spirit name now, as the name Shayleen carries the echo of my past and who I once was — parts of myself I am consciously choosing to leave behind.
Shayleen is the name my body was given, but Aliaithusa is my true name — the name given to me by Spirit, the name that reflects who I truly am and the medicine I am meant to share.
This is how Spirit reminded me of my truth…
It all started in 2024, when I was given a powerful vision — one that sealed my initiation, not just into a name, but into my sacred calling:
In my mind's eye, I saw a lead rock — heavy and unyielding — suddenly burst into flames. From those flames, a phoenix emerged — radiant and alive — soaring directly into my heart, returning home. With it came both a gift and a responsibility: to walk this path as a shamanic practitioner, to hold sacred space, to burn through illusion, and to carry the torch of transformation — guiding others out of the dark.
When the flames finally subsided, a single word remained, etched in shimmering gold upon the stone: Alia. In that moment, I knew in my bones, Alia was the name I would be called — but it felt incomplete. In the stillness that followed, I heard a soft whisper: Aithusa.
At the time, I didn’t know what either name meant — only that they were sacred and true. Later, I discovered their deeper meanings:
-
Alia means noble, exalted, and to rise or ascend in many cultures. In Hawaiian, it also means salt bed — the sacred ground where salt, a powerful tool of purification and protection, is formed by sun and time.

-
Aithusa means Light of the Sun and She Who Burns — the fire of truth, the radiance of spirit, and the power to illuminate and transform.
Together, they form the whole —
Aliaithusa, the one called forth to awaken humanity as the catalyst of transformation, empowerment and soul alignment.
I am now reborn into the remembering of who I am. From the ashes of what once was, I rise — reclaiming my power and sealing it in alignment with my golden purpose.

Now, I walk as Alia, held in the fullness of Aliaithusa —
She who burns, who purifies, who illuminates.
Thank you for witnessing me.
Now, let's witness you...
